Thesis 3

The Germanic people of today need a healthy and natural religion which makes us brave, pious and strong in the struggle for nation and fatherland.  Asatru is that religion.

What is healthy and natural religion?

It is a religion without manifestations of disease and degeneration. Christianity does not belong to this category, for it is rather a type of an unhealthy and unnatural end-time religion. For it arose 2000 years ago in the heart of a sick, spent and despairing humanity that had lost faith in life, despised the world, and waited for the return of christ and the end of the world.

Such a religion of weariness and surrender, of suffering, of flight from the world and the desire for redemption, in which the collapse of the ancient Mediterranean culture is reflected, can no longer be the religion of the still healthy and strong Germanic-Teutonic people, creators of culture, which faces the world and life like all peoples of predominantly Nordic race in a combative and heroic manner and which boldly and fearlessly tackles and seeks to master the problems of this world and of reality. The philosopher Fichte called his religion a "religion of joyful right-doing". This applies in the same way to today's Asatru, which bears a courageous and joyful character, which is based on a healthy and natural feeling, which does not detest and condemn the world and nature, body and sex, nor does it brand them as "flesh" that must be "crucified" or even as the dwelling place of Satan, but rather recognizes them as a natural field of achievement on which we stand and in which we perceive the working of noble and divine natural forces and bring them to life in us.

That is why Asatru, in contrast to the ascetic christian world-curse religion, can be called a religion of nature and life, a religion of action and will, of achievement and perfection. It is a strong and truthful religion of morals and reality, which eliminates as deadly poison all that is rotten and brittle in the life of the people as well as in philosophy and theology, and returns to hereditary health in the physical as well as in the mental-spiritual life.

This is a time when we must take refuge in blood and soil, home and country, things that nurture and strengthen the body and gives it the air, the wind and the sun, so that we may recover from the cultural diseases that eat away at our existence. This is no longer a christian time.

Editors Note: Sound mind in a sound body is always good advice. There has been an emphasis in modern times on individual body improvement, in the form of power lifting, yoga, and pilates. These forms are fine, but the true Germanic exercise is actually group calisthenics or group aerobics, where the point is not to stand out as a superstar specimen, but to see the entire group healthier and happier. The 5K scene, and running generally, seems to be a good place to start. Asatru could benefit from some tough love on the cardio fitness front. Just seeing people walk the Maypole at Odinshof is terrific. The footage of large groups of German women doing calisthenics from the old days is an inspirational model - the women were not all skinny and perfect, it was just regular people doing regular exercise as a group. Our trail and mountain hikes are great examples of where we should be going, with strenuous hikes and group fitness outweighing body building or marathon running.

This field of physical fitness, and especially group fitness, is where the Technology-Worship crowd really loses. They believe in a techno fix for human failings, a world of the mind separated from the body. A pill for every problem. The techno-futurists have no future, as they produce no children, no food and no group cohesion. They do control vast sums of money, and will use this to push people where they want, but money really isn't everything. It fails in the face of honor, dedication, loyalty and effort. You could pay a monkey a billion dollars to program an iPhone or build a factory, but the fact is they can't do it. Competence matters, and Believers will always defeat mercenaries over time.
